A histamine reaction looks different from PFE. It extends beyond the follicle pattern and presents as raised, irregular welts or hives rather than uniform bumps. The reaction is often diffuse and not limited to individual follicle sites.
Clients will commonly report itching, which is a key distinction from PFE. Some clients are more prone to this type of reaction.
