Lesson 6: Tattoo Burn Healing Progression

The following photographs document the same client at three stages following a tattoo burn. This
progression is what you should prepare clients to expect.

Photo 1 – A few days post-injury
Acute phase of a tattoo that was hit by a hair removal laser. Raised, inflamed tissue sits within the existing tattoo, with the burn following the outline of the affected design. The darker areas visible are the tattoo ink itself, not pigment from the injury.

Photo 3 – Week 6
